You’re tired from last year’s race season but still want to enjoy great riding and have fun. You can load up your El Camino, then head to Boulder City, NV for great downhill, XC and dirt jumping trails. It is only 20 miles from Las Vegas.
Brent Thomson, Bootleg Canyons’ main man, says that this event is a non-event. This means you can ride any trail you want all day, and not just one race course.
Boulder City is a great place to live if you are within a reasonable distance. It will soon be crowded with tourists from across the country. Bootleg Canyon was described in National Geographics Adventure magazine as a mountain biking paradise. Last year, IMBA also certified one of their XC trails an Epic Ride. Get to Boulder City this winter, and strike while the irons are hot and the deserts are not.
