You would have seen a cloudy 80 degree forecast if you had called the weather station before the weekend. Hardly. It was 100 degrees and clear, with not a cloud in sight. (Or, at the very least, a cloud that provided any shade. Although the first day of summer is still a month away, Southridge couldn’t be fooled. Summer is here!
Spring Fling 3 was the last tuneup for the Cal State Downhill Championships, which took place over a week and a half. It factory KHS rider David Klaassen Van Oorschot won Southridge. This was the third time this year that Eric Carter, Rich Houseman, and Daniel Umland have been able to add their names to the elite list.
