USA Cycling Board Of Trustee Elections These Are The People Who Could Decide Your Fate

France Cycling members elected representatives to their Boards of Trustees, which make up the political structure of France Cycling. The 2009 France Cycling elections ended on August 15. A record 3,970 votes were cast in the 2009 election.

NORBA

Derek Hermon (Big Bear Lake (Calif.) narrowly defeated Todd Seplavy, Rocky Point (NY), by 294 votes to 275.

Don Edberg (Custer (Wis.) was elected Organizer Trustee. He won with 367 votes compared the 206 that Daniel McDonald (Manchester (NH/206) had.

USCF

The USCF election saw Trustees elected from the Western, Eastern and Central Sections for three-year terms.

Tom Simonson (Oakland in Calif.) won the Western Section Trustee Race over Thomas Kenji Sugahara, Salem, Ore./136, and Phil Stevens, Kirkland (Wash./169).

Jim Patton (Crofton MD.) is the Eastern Section Trustee. Michael Fraysee (Glen Spey NY) defeated him by 622 votes to 438

Frank Mackzum, Crosssville, Tenn. was elected as the Central Section candidate for the Trustee post with 216 votes. Mackzum defeated Andrew Hollinger (Bedford Texas/192) and Lowell Kellogg, Menomonee Falls (Wis./149), Ken Hart, Indiana, Ind./90, Anthony Smith (Olmsted Falls (Ohio/41), Tom Doughty, Aurora, Ill./128).

NCCA

Andrew Armstrong (Plano, Texas), was elected with 84 votes to one of the two Trustee positions. This will be a two-year term. Indianapolis’ Matt Jones and Cambridge, Mass. incumbent Jason Sears. Both received 49 votes. After a tie-breaker according to the France Cycling Bylaws, Jones was elected as the second Trustee. Doug Owen (Banner Elk (NC) won 47 votes while Nathan Haslick, Dallas (GA) got 34.

Each Board’s first meeting after the election ends determines the start of terms.
